Shaggy von Cheviot is the most stunning 12 month old long haired German Shepherd. He is a big gentle boy whose life hasn’t been easy so far. He is very adaptable and tries hard to fit in. He shares a foster home with two long haired German Shepherds, a male and a female who could be littermates, maybe not quite as stunning as Shaggy but close. When the three are walked everyone has to stop and comment on how beautiful they all are. Shaggy is so easy to walk, the foster mom can walk three dogs and talk on the phone. Shaggy is the best of the three, he just trots right by your side, he doesn’t alert to other dogs, he walks and knows exactly where home is, he turns right in at the right place. He has been without a home and he isn’t taking any chances. He is still skin and bones and he isn’t a great eater, so he gets special home cooked dinners, his foster siblings understand. He would rather hang out in the house with his foster mom, sleep by her feet with a bone. He is good with other dogs and cats, but is more interested in his human family. He sleeps through the night on a big feather bed, next to the foster parents. He doesn’t move until the morning. He is still healing from an accident, but he will be fine. He is very quiet but will bark if something is unusual. He has no interest in stalking squirrels like his foster canines; he is more a mommy’s boy. Shaggy is good in the car and is happy to do errands. He has the most beautiful eyes; it is as if a big beautiful wolf is watching your every move!
